In Support of Licensing of Labor Brokers in New York City


On September 15, 2021, Han Lu and Laura Padin testified before the New York City Council Committee on Consumer Affairs and Licensing in support of Bill 2318-2021, providing for the licensing of labor brokers in New York City. The bill is a critical step in demanding accountability from labor brokers, like “body shops” that drive occupational segregation in New York.
