On March 6, 2017, Laura Huizar testified before the Missouri House Rules-Administrative Oversight Committee in opposition to the portions of HB 1193 and HB 1194 that would preempt local minimum wage or benefits laws and therefore preserve the power of Missouri cities and counties to enact local minimum wage regulations.
