On February 7, 2017, Yannet Lathrop testified before the Maryland House, Economic Matters Committee in opposition to HB317, which seeks to prohibit, or preempt, counties and municipalities in the State of Maryland from enacting local laws regulating wages or benefits (other than local wage or benefits laws applying only to county or municipal employees).
