Pledge Your Support for United Farm Workers’ Member Leaders!

On May 2, federal immigration agents stopped farm workers traveling from Lynn-Ette & Sons Farms in Western New York state.  United Farm Workers (UFW) worker leaders who have been organizing to unionize their workplace were detained. After only the UFW worker leaders were detained, the bus transported the remaining workers to the worksite.

Law enforcement targeting  union supporters breaks federal laws that protect workers from retaliation for organizing. The detention of these worker leaders is deeply troubling and raises questions about whether immigration enforcement is being misused to intimidate workers trying to form a union.
