Marwa Odeh

Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff

Marwa Odeh is a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to advancing social and economic justice. She currently contributes her expertise to the National Employment Law Project (NELP), an organization at the forefront of advocating for federal, state, and local policies aimed at building a just and inclusive economy where all workers have expansive rights and thrive in good jobs.

As the Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff at the National Employment Law Project, Marwa provides high-level administrative support to the Chief of Staff, focusing on alignment building, enhancing daily workflow, and cross-team collaboration. Managing special organization-wide projects and events, Marwa leads the implementation of key executive leadership initiatives. She provides coordination for NELP’s Board of Directors, assists in advancing NELP’s organizational health and culture priorities, and leads operational support for NELP’s Washington, DC office.

Before joining NELP, Marwa’s deep commitment to social justice, law, and public policy led her to a critical role at the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) as a Senior Development and Programs Manager. In this capacity, she directed and executed annual seminars on national and global policies related to labor, climate change, STEM policy, and other critical issues. Additionally, Marwa has a proven track record in development work, specializing in grant writing, individual giving, and fundraising strategy within the nonprofit sector, including at organizations such as Amnesty International.

In her commitment to democracy and worker voice, Marwa also served as an intern for Congressman Jamie Raskin and a Congressional Internship engaging in data-driven campaigns and fundraising for Democratic candidates in three Maryland counties. Marwa served as a Board of Director for the National Leaders Council’s DC chapter in 2023, a current Board Member of Atlantik-Brücke, and was honored by the Middle East Policy Council as a 40 Under 40 recipient in 2022.

Marwa holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Arabic from An-Najah National University. She is a seasoned public speaker who has addressed hundreds of students, politicians, and politically active groups on Conflict Resolution in the U.S., UK, and Japan. Originally from New York, Marwa currently resides in DC.
