The National Employment Law Project mourns the passing of our former executive director, Sara Rios, who died yesterday from ALS disease.
Sara brought deep passion and commitment, amazing warmth, a searing intellect, tireless drive, and above all, genuine loving kindness to her work with NELP and her colleagues here.
In a life ended far too soon, Sara made immeasurable contributions to improving the lives of millions. We are grateful for her many contributions at NELP and elsewhere.
All of us who knew and worked with her loved her and will miss her greatly. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and many friends.
