Tell the USDA to protect poultry workers and food safety!

Poultry workers already face highly dangerous working conditions—including breakneck line speeds, the use of sharp instruments by workers standing shoulder to shoulder, deafening noise levels, and slippery conditions. The USDA is currently considering a petition to increase line speeds to the industry-preferred 175 birds per minute (bpm), or roughly three birds per second. This action would have serious detrimental effects on food safety, animal welfare, and would further exacerbate the unsafe conditions poultry workers face.

Poultry workers are already endangered by alarmingly fast line speeds.

Tell USDA Secretary Perdue we want safer poultry processing plants, not more dangerous ones.
