Domestic Workers

Like many low-wage immigrant workers, domestic workers often endure abusive conditions thus enabling others to work and live in comfort.  Many domestic workers must struggle in almost total isolation from their peers.  NELP seeks to reduce this isolation by supporting domestic worker organizing efforts by developing resources for organizers and advocates. 




Rights Begin at Home: Protecting Yourself as a Domestic Worker This handbook informs domestic workers about their rights under the law and offers advice on how to improve wages and working conditions.  (revised January 2006)
